Ten minutes north is the hamlet of Castleton which boasts one of the longest, continually run general stores in Canada and a popular spot for ice cream in the summer. Even further north is one of the few remaining remnants of tall grass prairie in Ontario, both at the Red Cloud Cemetery and the Goodrich-Loomis Conservation Area.

There is one elementary school in Cramahe, but like all the other communities in the area, families here can choose between a number of schools serving nearby neighbourhoods. While families flock to Cramahe, it’s also a favourite for seniors and young couples.
